Sherborne Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update |
🔹 Sherborne Neighbourhood Policing Team continue to carry out targeted patrols on the Corelli Estate. We have also made an application to Dorset Council to have CCTV cameras placed on the estate to assist in gathering evidence of persons causing anti-social behaviour. 🔹 We have conducted regular intelligence led patrols within Sherborne town centre and our known anti-social behaviour hotspots. 🔹 We continue to safeguard vulnerable victims of rogue traders. This week, we worked with a victim's bank and obtained quotations from reputable local builders. These can now be used as evidence to demonstrate that the victim may have been disproportionately charged for work carried out on their home. For approved local traders, visit the Trading Standards approved Buy with Confidence website here: www.buywithconfidence.gov.uk 🔹 The next deployment of the mobile police station in Sherborne will be outside the Co-op at Westbridge Park on Thursday the 5th of November, between 11am and 1pm.
👮 Please remember that privately owned e-scooters cannot be legally used on public roads, pavements, cycle lanes or public spaces and may only be used on private land with the landowner's permission. If you ride one in public, you could: ⚠️ Receive a fine ⚠️ Get penalty points on your driving licence ⚠️ Have the e-scooter seized by police

💙 Our photograph shows a happy ending from last week, when the team reunited this well-behaved dog with its owner. 🐾
